Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cranberries
- 1 orange
- 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup sugar (more or less to taste)
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- Wash the cranberries and place them in a large pot.
- Peel the orange and lemon and add the peels to the pot.
- Squeeze the juice from the orange and lemon and add it to the pot.
- Add the sugar and water to the pot and stir to dissolve the sugar.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and the mixture has thickened slightly.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the solids.
- Serve the cranberry citrus juice hot or chilled, as desired.
